Sweet Potato And Ginger Soup

Sweet potato is a healthier food choice that is fat-free and cholesterol-free. This low-calorie soup offers beta-carotene, vitamin A, and lots of healthy carbohydrates.



  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups peeled, diced sweet potato
  • 1/4 cup julienne-cut peeled fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt


Boil water in a saucepan and add all the ingredients into the boiled water. Take out the sweet potato after 10 minutes and place it in a blender. The texture will be smooth. Return the puree in the pan. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
